Terms of Service

By creating an account you agree to these terms. They're written plainly on purpose. This is a starting point and will be finalised with legal counsel before wider launch.

1. Who can use MeetopiaHQ

You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter this agreement. One account per person. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything that happens under your account.

2. What MeetopiaHQ is

MeetopiaHQ is a platform for creating and joining social experiences and events. It is a place to meet people through shared activities — not an escort, sex-work, or transactional-companionship service.

3. Prohibited conduct

You may not use MeetopiaHQ to:

• Solicit, offer, or arrange sexual services or any transactional companionship, or any activity illegal under Sri Lankan law;
• Harass, threaten, deceive, or endanger anyone;
• Impersonate others, create fake profiles, or misrepresent who you are;
• Solicit money, investments, or gifts from other members, or run scams;
• Post unlawful, hateful, or explicit content, or share others' private information.

Breaking these rules can result in immediate removal and, where appropriate, referral to authorities.

4. Coins and payments

• Coins are an in-app credit used to host and join personal events. They are not cash and are not redeemable for money.
• When you request to join an approval-based event, your coins are held and only spent if the host accepts. If the host declines, the request expires, or you cancel, held coins are released back to you.
• Hosting a personal event costs a coin fee. Ticketed events run on the organiser's pricing, with a platform commission.

5. Your responsibility when you meet

MeetopiaHQ helps you connect, but meetings happen in the real world between adults making their own choices. We don't conduct background checks and can't guarantee anyone's conduct. Please follow our safety guidance and use your judgement.

6. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms or put others at risk.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. Significant changes will be communicated in the app.
