What is MeetopiaHQ?
MeetopiaHQ is a social experience platform in Sri Lanka. You browse real events — concerts, festivals, food crawls, hikes, workshops — and either buy a ticket or ask the host to let you join. You meet people through the plan you both showed up for.
How do I buy tickets on MeetopiaHQ?
Open What's On, pick an event and choose a ticket tier. You pay in Sri Lankan rupees and your e-ticket, with its QR code, appears under My Tickets straight away. You can also download it as a PDF to show at the door offline.
Can I get a refund?
Refund policy is set by the organiser and shown on the event before you pay. Where an event is marked refundable you can cancel your own order from My Tickets up until the event starts or the ticket is scanned, whichever comes first, and the seats go back on sale.
Can my organisation sell tickets here?
Yes. Create an organisation, get it verified, then publish events with priced ticket tiers, phase-wise sale windows and a door team who can scan. MeetopiaHQ keeps a 12% commission and pays out the remaining 88% on request.
How does check-in work?
Every ticket carries a signed QR code. Your door team opens the scanner, points a phone camera at it, and the ticket flips from valid to checked-in once. A second scan of the same ticket is rejected, so a screenshot passed to a friend will not get them in.
