What is MeetopiaHQ?
MeetopiaHQ is a social experience platform in Sri Lanka. Instead of swiping on profiles, you browse real events — concerts, food crawls, hikes, workshops, group outings — and either buy a ticket or ask the host to let you join. You meet people through the plan you both showed up for.
Is MeetopiaHQ a dating app?
No. It is built around events rather than matches. Some categories are one-on-one or group dates, but most of what is listed is open social events and ticketed happenings anyone can attend. You join a plan, not a person.
How do I join an event on MeetopiaHQ?
Open Discover, pick an event and either buy a ticket, for ticketed events, or send a join request. For personal events the host reviews your profile and accepts or declines. The exact meeting address and the group chat unlock only once you are accepted.
How much does it cost?
Ticketed events are priced by the organiser and paid in Sri Lankan rupees. Personal events use coins: a typical entry fee is around 250 LKR in coins, which exists to filter out no-shows. Coins are held in escrow when you request a spot, charged only if the host accepts you, and refunded in full if they decline or the request expires.
Can I host my own event?
Yes. Any verified account can publish an event — you set what it is, the date, the place, the price and how many people can come, then accept the people you want to meet. Organisations can run ticketed events with QR e-tickets scanned at the door.
